What Causes Global Warming?

The Causes Of Global Warming

Global warming can be caused by generating power, transportation, and cutting down forests, otherwise known as deforestation. One example is air conditioners. In Arizona, last year's temperature rose to 104°F in the summer, since people used their air conditioners so much. They used them over and over again, since it kept getting so warm. This is not good for the environment.

Generating Power

Generating power and burning fossil fuels can cause global warming. In fact, burning fossil fuels is responsible for half of global warming pollution. By burning less wood for fireplaces and campfires and using public transportation, we can reduce the amount of carbon emissions produced in the world.

Transportation

Cars, trucks, and ships all run on fossil fuels. These all produce a lot of carbon dioxide and many other greenhouse gases. Since they have to travel far distances, they will produce more greenhouse gases.

Cutting down forests

Cutting down forests can lead to carbon dioxide releasing into the atomesphere. In 2019, about 9 million acres of rainforests were destroyed. Rainforests are one of our biggest supplies of trees, which store in methane(carbon dioxide).
